TWLTC Toilet Re-Opening Rules                                                                       29 May 2020                     

These rules are put in place to reduce the risk of contracting Covid-19 when using the toilets. This risk cannot be removed, and you are advised that you use the toilets at TWLTC within these rules is at your own risk. Government guidelines will change, and this document will reflect that and be updated over time. Signage will be in place to guide you and you must follow these rules which have been agreed with our insurers.

Our Rules

  1. Toilets will only be open to staff and members.
  2. Members can access the clubhouse toilets on the basis of a one-way system. Entry is via the door closest to the main office and exit is via the door to the club car park.
  3. You are required to sanitise your hands before entering the clubhouse and upon leaving the toilets.
  4. Hand sanitiser will be available. Should it run out, please inform the groundsman and/or email the Club Manager. Please bring your own hand sanitiser with you in any event.
  5. Social distancing must be maintained at all times.
  6. Outside doors will be propped open, weather permitting, to reduce unnecessary surface contact.
  7. The internal door in the foyer will also be propped open.

 Hygiene and Cleaning 

  1. The toilets will be subject to a rigorous cleaning regime three times per week.
  2. You are instructed to report any cleanliness issues to the Club Manager as a matter of urgency.
  3. The main entrance doors to the ladies’ and gents’ will also be propped open at all times to reduce surface contact.
  4. You must use the toilets with minimal surface contact and wipe down all surfaces touched prior to vacating the toilets. Disposable blue paper and disinfectant is provided for this purpose.
  5. You must wash your hands for 20 seconds after using the toilet.
  6. You must not fill up your drinking bottles from the taps in the toilets.

Access to Toilets

  1. Cones will be placed outside the ladies’ and gents’ toilets.
  2. Tape will be placed on the floor of the foyer outside the three toilets to delineate a 2m distance between the cone and the waiting zone. You must wait behind this line if the cone is in the “occupied” position.
  3. One member at a time is permitted in the ladies’ and gents’ toilets. The disabled toilet is reserved for disabled members only and will not be subject to the cone system, but tape will still be placed on the floor to ensure social distancing.
  4. When you are in the toilet, please move the cone with your feet to the Y position.
  5. When you vacate the toilet, please move the cone back to the X position unless another member is waiting to access the toilet, in which case the cone can be left in place until that member vacates.
  6. Please leave via the door to the car park.

Foyer Area

  1. Please do not touch anything in the foyer unless you require access to the First Aid kit.
  2. The booking screen and drinking water machine will not be available until further notice.
  3. If you make use of the First Aid kit, please wipe it down with the disposable cloth and spray provided after use.
  4. Offices, the stairs to the bar and other areas within the clubhouse will be out of bounds.
