Bar & Catering Manager
Kari is a true Scandinavian, both Norwegian and Swedish, and spent time in Copenhagen in her younger days. For more than 20 years she worked in tourism as a tour guide/air hostess (Air guide) and feels at home everywhere in the Mediterranean – speaking a few languages also helps.
Almost 10 years in the bucolic hills of East Sussex and Kari finally gave in to tennis – a lifelong love affair that started with Bjorn Borg all those years ago. Full circle or, as Rafa would say, Vamos!

Bar Supervisor
If he’s not behind the Bar jazzing up Sunday mornings, cooking up something fresh and tasty in the kitchen or firing up the BBQ you’ll usually find Steve on court pretending he’s 20 years younger. Moving to TW from south London 8 years ago with his artist wife Annie after a ‘lifetime’ in advertising, he is now enjoying retirement and busier than ever. Creative Director, Copywriter, Brand Architect, Author, Cook….he has many strings to his bow and is always looking for new challenges. In his spare time Steve collects and sells vintage vinyl. When he’s not playing tennis he also enjoys playing snooker, cooking, creating, writing, being with friends and family, listening to loud music (rock/blues/jazz) and generally having a good time. When you see him say Hi – you’re sure to be greeted with a smile.

Are you a Lemon Drizzler? Or more of a Carrot Connoisseur? Whatever your preference in cake, you can be sure our lovely resident baker and barmaid Dee will be happy to serve you up a fresh slice of one of her latest delicious creations. Her passion for baking means there’s always something new and tasty to try at the Bar.
Dee grew up in Southborough and Tunbridge Wells and her family has a long history of tennis at the Club and while she hasn’t been tempted to pick up her racket again yet, she has been known to play the odd game of Pickleball.
Apart from baking, Dee’s other passions include fancy dress, walking and hunting for antiques, even making a fleeting TV appearance on Bargain Hunt once. Her prize find to date is WW2 aeroplane propeller from an antique shop in Hastings, which now hangs proudly in her hallway.
Dee has two children and a tortoise-shell cat called Bella that sometimes follows her to the Club – maybe it’s the thought of that cake!
